Participate in external conferences and ExCO can help alleviate the financial pain by subsidizing a portion of your expenses.

External Conferences is here to provide Sauder students with unique opportunities that will equip them with a wealth of new knowledge and connections, and above all, enrich their Sauder experience. ExCO allows students to attend business conferences based on their interest without heavy financial burdens holding them back. Each year, Sauder students have the opportunity to attend annually hosted conferences worldwide where they engage with industry professionals, experts, and like-minded students. With over 20 listed conferences and countless others that have yet to be discovered, the sky is the limit with ExCO.


By subsidizing conference and travel expenses, ExCO aims to send as many attendees as possible to help students not only grow and develop but also to pursue and explore their passions. To learn more about this service, check out our Application and FAQ pages, or contact any of the executives!

MEGAN WONG

Megan is a 4th year co-op student specializing in Accounting and BTM. When She is not studying or working, Megan enjoys trip planning, photography and blogging about Vancouver’s latest restaurants. As one of ExCO’s Co-Directors this year, Megan hopes to encourage more Sauder students to step out of their comfort zone and explore their passions through attending external conferences.

Jasmine is a 4th-year co-op student specializing in accounting. She enjoys trying various food locations and maintaining a healthy lifestyle. Jasmine is excited to co-lead ExCO this year to build upon her leadership abilities and to give back to the Sauder community.

GRACE SHI

Grace is a 4th year Accounting student at the UBC Sauder School of Business. She loves exploring new food places, going for a hike, and bake in her free time. As one of the Finance Associates, Grace is hoping more students can come to know ExCo and attend a business conference with the support of our subsidy. She is excited to be a part of the ExCo team and look forward to reading all your conference adventures.

Antonio is a 3rd year BCom student completing a dual option in Accounting and BTM. An adventurous and thrill-seeking individual, Antonio felt inspired to join ExCO after finding about the many resources ExCO offers to students to help them take advantage of educational opportunities around the globe. When not on campus, you’re likely to find Antonio hiking and camping around BC, DJing, or frantically trying to organize his notes.

Heidi is a 4th year Marketing Student considering BTM and Business Analytics as options. She likes to say she draws but actually draws every few months. She likes to say she saves money but says yes to every invitation out for food. Taking on this marketing role at ExCo will help get her to design more, and be mindful of costs as she realises she too would like to go to a subsidized conference.

Anna is a 1st year student at Sauder School of Business. She intends to specialize in finance in the upcoming years. Outside of the classrooms, she loves travelling, reading and wondering around the campus searching for food and study spots. She is so excited to join the ExCO team this year and can’t wait to spread awareness of this amazing organization to her first year peers!

Kylie is a 1st year student at the UBC Sauder School of Business. She loves exploring local restaurants, playing her guitar and sing, and drinking coffee. She is very excited to take on this role in her first year as she will learn and develop herself. She hopes to use her passion and enthusiasm to promote conference opportunities for everyone.
